Re: Foam Tape

Try some thinner weatherstripping. Home Depot or Lowes should have tape with different thicknesses. I was thinking about trying this as well to fix the seal on a humi I have. I have read others suggesting using wax to fix the seal.

I read in my other post that someone used masking tape...gave this a try after the foam tape failed and it works perfectly. Just lay pieces of 1" masking tape even with the outer edge of the bottom piece and fold them over into the inside of the box. A perfectly tight seal! Sorry to "hijack" my own thread in a sense, but the foam tape isn't worth it.

Any chance you could post a picture of it? I have an old humidor leak. I also tried weatherstripping-but the kid would not shut.

Sorry no digi, but all you have to do is open up the humi and on the bottom edge of the humidor take a piece of masking tape and line it up with the outside edge. Then take the extra and fold it down inside the humi. This should fix your problem. Hope this helps.

Re: Foam Tape

The owner of one of my local B-M'S suggested putting the Bible or another heavy book ontop of the humi to help seal it better. I haven't tryed it but it may work.
