Re: Best Humidors

Man am I glad to hear everyone is having good luck with these humidors. I just picked one up on Ebay for $86 and $17 shipping. Got the 300 count which is way bigger than I need now but Im sure I will grow into.

Can anyone comment on the humidifiers and hygrometer that comes with it?

Yes...throw away botj of them. Buy 1/2 pound of humidity beads from heartfeltindustries.com, and get yourself a nice $20 digital hygrometer. The hygrometer that comes with the Del Mar is not very accurate, and the beads work 1000 times better than a humidifier,,,,,

I have about 10 boxes in the bottom and about 75 sticks in the trays. I filled it up in 2 months It's simple, but has a great seal and with beads, is rock steady at 65%.

Re: Best Humidors

I was a little nervous buying one of those but I'm glad I did.
I got the 200ct glass top one for $41 + $15sh.

Plenty big for this noob.Looks bare in there now.

I guess it won't be long though before I'm building a walk-in.

Re: Best Humidors

I would go with this one. I do not have one yet, but I know few people that do and they say they are great.

OK, I have read all of the coolerador replies. I used coolers for more years then I care to count and they work, but they are far from best. Best would be a nice box fron Arlin Liss. There is nothing that compares and if you age cigars it really does make a difference. However, is a 200-300 count ever sufficient? Go with one of Bob Staebells cabinets. Less money then a Lissador and will hold 40 - 50 boxes and several hundred loose.
