Dont Skoal bandits come in a plastic puck like device that would look alot better without a label and sprinkled liberally with small holes drilled in it?

I used a credo - just pitched the foam insert and put in the beads. You can get some cheap plastic ones here or at your B&M - you'll probably still need to keep the beads in a mesh or hose bag inside so pieces of the beads won't come out.

I bag my beads in a camp lantern wick bag (3 spoons per bag) tie it off and then put them in a puck

The rectangular humidfiers that bazookajoe posted snap apart and back together. I filled them with beads like he suggests after taking out the foam, and they keep the beads from falling out fine. You don't even have to open them to wet the beads with a spritzer bottle.

Cut some window screen and tape it to the inside of the lid. This will keep the beads in.

I use the western rectangular humidifier, but it's annoying to try to put the water into the holes. So I would open it up, but the beads fall out. So I got a mesh bag and use that to hold the beads inside the humidifier. Simple and not messy.

Re: Anyone know where to get empty "pucks" for beads...

I use the circular humidifiers that came with a couple of my cheaper humidors, they have green foam in them, so I took that out and replaced with beads.

I can never separate the two plastic pieces without breaking and chipping them to the point of uselessness. i am eager to learn how to avoid this.
