Vector metal injector leaking butane

So there I am, having just bought my 1st bottle of the highly acclaimed Vector Qintuple Refined Butane. I'm anxiously waiting for my cheapo space torch lighter to run out of butane so I can fill 'er up. The time arrives and I empty the space lighter of fuel and proceed to fill. But the butane sprays all over because the metal tip on the vector fuel doesn't seal. I did manage to get some fuel in the lighter but at least as much got on my fingers too. I think the softer plastic tip on th colibri must have sealed better because it conformed to minor irregularities. And yes, I sure it doesn't need one of the addapter tips that are supplied with the vector fuel.

ANT ONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM... and whats the fix?

Did you try? I'll bet you do need one of the tips that came with the fuel. I have a lighter that accepts the colibri and xikar fuel fine, but I need one of the adapters when I use Vector.

I don't think that the Vector can is intended to refill lighters without one of those plastic adapters. It's been awhile since I've used Vector, but I think the directions mention using one of the nozzles.

Re: Vector metal injector leaking butane

the directions say "most lighters do not require an adapter". And I tried all the adapters, none of them fit.
