Re: Humidifier Question

sounds like mold, hard to say w/o pics-when i found mold on mine, i threw it away & got beads, no problems since-if you're sold on the foam for some reason, throw out the old, wash the case w/a mild bleach solution or rubbing alcohol, & get wet floral foam at wally world or a florist to replace it-in order for mold to form, the RH & temp must be higher than you really want, so i'd check that out too & work on that or else you'll have the same problem again-hope this helps, if ya have any more ?'s don't hesitate to ask, we're here to help!

Just throw it out. Not worth risking the safety of your stash.

I would go with the Puck at Cigarmony.com.

Get that and you will be maintenance free for a long time.

I have had good luck with Diamond Crown elements, but I am not on top of current trends or the state-of-the-art in humidifaction...

Re: Humidifier Question

sounds like mold to me as well. Looks like your choices are one of the following:
  • Disinfect and replace floral foam
  • Disinfect and retrofit using beads instead of foam
  • Buy a puck
