De-humidifier?

Ok..I live here in the Caribbean where the humidity is almost always well north of 70%. As a result, I have taken to using a bit of "damp-rid" in a shallow bowl to keep the humidity around 65%...Does anyone see any harm in this? From what I can tell, the cigars are suffering no ill effects up to this point...

Re: De-humidifier?

I'm certainly not an expert, but as long as there are no fumes from chemicals that might taint the flavor of your smokes, then I see no real harm.

I am thinking about getting a dehumidifier for my office this spring. The high humidity levels of spring & summer in Kansas are almost as big a problem as the dry air of winter.
