Re: My Review of Palio and Blazer

The Palio is nice. However, I prefer the Cuban Crafters perfect cigar cutter for less than half the price. It provides a uniform cut with their calibrated chamber. Not great on torpedo shaped cigars, will have to cut 2-3 times on those, but great on other shaped cigs. I have both, and choose the Cuban Crafters over Palio every time.

I had a chance to check out the Blazer at a herf yesterday, nice piece of gear. I'm sold on the power of the torch. It really shines when re-lighting (when you have to get past the stubborn ash). Wouldn't hesitate to buy one in a group buy.

I love my new Palio. It makes quick work of any cigar. No fuss, it just works every time.

Re: My Review of Palio and Blazer

I got my Palio yesterday from the "Never Ending Palio GB" thread, and I gotta agree with all the rave reviews. The cut it perfect, and it slices through the cigar with ease. Highly recommended to anyone on the fence about buying one

New to the forums and cigar smoking in general, but I gotta say that this website/forum is a wonderful resource for new smokers. That aside, I wanted to share a torch lighter I found thats a 'clone' of the Blazer PB-207...same design, different name. They claim that it comes from the same factory as the Blazer, but I haven't actually seen one in person and was hoping some of you may have some input.

It's called the "Smokers Pocket Torch"...

You should definitely think twice about posting a link to a competing product in another products "yay-for-product" thread for your first post. First post or very shortly thereafter ought to be the New Gorilla forum for an introduction

I have used the instructions to turn a Ronson Jetlite into a flame thrower. Blazer *should* be similar

Re: My Review of Palio and Blazer

Just returned my Blazer for service. Cost me $25 to return it and I'm waiting for a new or repair return.

I love the lighter and only had it for a year, minimal use. After filling it one day it would not light. I use Vector 5 strain fluid. I had a spark but no light.

I have no idea what went wrong.

How did it cost you $25 to return it? You could've bought a new one for $30 on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Blazer-PB207-P...2101896&sr=8-2

As for the other post above which talks about the knock-off brand - if you read the info the knock-off is made in China. The real PB-207 is made in Japan. I wouldn't ever trust a cheapo Chinese copy for half the price. I would rather get things right the first time and just buy the real PB-207!

Re: My Review of Palio and Blazer

I have a Palio, which is the best cutter I ever had and a Blazer that I use all the time. I have several triple and single flame lighters, but the Blazer just always seems to be my go to lighter.
The only thing I would change about my Blazer is maybe getting the clear one to see how much fluid is left in the reservoir. Of course I can't remember the last time I ever filled that thing anyway!

Re: My Review of Palio and Blazer

My Palio is the first quality piece of cigar equipment I bought, and I love it. The worker at the shop actually talked me out of a Xikar for the Palio, and it was the right choice.

Lighter, though, is still up in the air. I currently love my Colibri Quantum, but lets see how that ends up...
