Just ran out to the 24hr walgreens and 24hr CVS. Found 5-6 at CVS and grabbed one for $4.49. Seems like a really solid lighter. Should be putting it to good use as I start my first humidor.

Ah well, $5.50 well spent.
Even so, still a great deal. I paid CVS price for mine and no regrets at all. If I could only have one change to it, it would be a small window next to the resevoir to see how much fuel is left as I've been caught out a couple times on fumes. There was just enough left that shaking the hell out of it gave me barely enough flame time to get lit properly. Now I just refill every two days like clockwork, even if it means wasting fuel during the bleed.

I think everybody should try these. They work great and are CHEAP (at least until Wal Mart finds out how popular they are.)

I don't just wait until gas stops coming out, I let it sit for a bit and then purge it again.
what does purge mean and how does one do that?

i am having similar problems mine got really low so i went and bought some ronson butane fuel for $3 and tried to refill and it just won't relight it keeps sputtering?

Where you refill it at (small tube recessed into the lighter) you have to release the air or leftover gases. I use a pocket knife blade tip and gently press the tube inward and the air/gas escapes, you can hear it. Then wait a little bit and repeat til none exits.
Think of trying to fill it with gas with air trying to escape the same hole, the air is going to win. Hince why no butane will be able to go into the lighter (refilling it). The gas chamber in the lighter needs to be as empty as possible to refill.

Here's the beauty of a Ronson Lighter,,,,I hardly ever purge the thing and only use good quality fuel,,3x or 5x butane. I know I'm supposed to "purge" and I do that with my more expensive lighters but with the Ronson,,,this thing just fires up regardless of how I refuel it. I don't use Ronson fuel as they do not refine it like the other quality butane fuels,,,spend the extra $1 and get good fuel,,it does make a difference.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

When I first refilled my Ronson I took the time to purge it in fear of breaking it and having to shell out for a new one lol. Now I don't even bother purging it and fill it with cheap-o Ronson fuel. It still runs like a champ!

LOL
Better yet, if Consumer Reports did a review of lighters, it would be rated a CR Best Buy!

I was checking out at Wal-mart and they had a few! Got two. After dealing with a piece of crap, this thing rocks!
