Good luck!

I am going to try etching sometime this week (working on the toner template transfer tonight) and I will start a mod your Ronson Jetlite thread when I get it to work, so this thread doesn't get too long.
Not a real problem, I'm not using sandpaper...I'm using a dremel and MAAS metal polish. It's not cutting through the chrome easily, but it will eventually...I figure that's good enough to keep the copper intact.

For the Canadian BOTL looking for a Ronson jetlite Canadian Tire carries them. I picked up three lighters for 3.89$ each. Great little lighter

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

Wow...took over a month but i now have 2 jetlites! And there are turning out to be everything everyone has said they would be.

Sturdy, no loose bits, satisfying "click" and easily adjustable flame.

Hope they last me longer than my last lighter!!

Will be using it on a box of 10 Gurkha Symphonies which should be arriving....today! Whoo!

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

which section of walmart did you guys find these at? The place is huge and the help is so-so at best. I asked and was directed to a tobacco section in the front of mine mingled in with all the cash registers. To be found, only Bics and a non-torch Ronsonol. Is this the spot or are they located somewhere else?

This is where they are located at least at mine. Look to see if there is an empty peg with a price sticker of about 2.95, if there is one then they are probably just out right now. If there is not an empty peg then they may not carry them at that store.
Of the two different store here that I have been to, one cares them and one does not.

I got lucky and picked up 2 when I first read this thread. It then took about 6 weeks for them to get some more in.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

Ive had mine for a year or so. The lid on mine flops at will if you flip it but somehow the lid doesnt open when in pockets. but other than that it's flawless never fails. Mine also has the copper war torn finish.. My only complaint is im lazy and i wishit held more fuel they should make a fatboy Ronson Jetlite.

Go to their website and order them on their for about $6 a piece. They are still worth it even with shipping.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

I finally made it to Wal-Mart this week. After the rave reviews here I had to have one. This is a GREAT lighter. It feels and operates like a much higher priced lighter. Thanks for this review. It saved me a bundle by not buying one of the high end lighters. Everyone go out and buy several, I have already gifted two to friends locally. A great gift that only costs $2.98. Can't beat that.

My lighters were on the isle with the cigarettes.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

I got one of these from a fellow botl through a sampler purchase and wow! At first I was skeptical because of the low price, but it really does have the feel/heft/solid build that would suggest a much higher price. On top of that it runs on butane - no fiddling around with wicks and all that.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

Nice thread! I'm tired of wasting money on expensive torches to break down after a few lights...soon after I learned how to keep them clean and functioning but for the trouble I much rather purchase an inexpensive light I can just throw away son as it goes wonky on me.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

Awwwrite! After four visits to the ol Mart, finally found a peg full of Jetlites in a few finishes. Resisted buying the whole lot and ended up with two. No need to be greedy. (Sometimes I think they let items run out just to build up consumer demand.) Price was $3.38 apiece. A bit between the mainland US and the Canadian prices. Gee ya just cant beat it.
Between the Jetlites and the Z insert for my old Zippo case, Im a pretty happy camper.
One small slip for man......
