The local B&M just started carrying the Ronson "Amero Lite." It looks to be a fancier version of the jet lite. at six bucks it's more expensive, but I almost never go to Walmart. I couldn't help but pick one up.

Just wow! I went to so many Walmarts, Walgreens and a Rite Aid and I still can't find one. I just will have to order one online.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

had my ronson jet lite for a year and no problems. When I travel to Cincinnati I know a W-mart that carries them and pick them up for friends. I have three of them for house, car, and golf bag

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

Guys my local walmart had a three or four today. I picked up one. Got home and started thinking I should have picked all them up so I could help some of you guys out. I may go back tomorrow and grab them so I can do some trading. Let me know if you guys are interested ( drop me a p.m. Don't want to start trading her as this is not the appropriate place. I'm not looking to make any profit just wanna break even.)

BTW it is one awesome lighter for the price. Thinking of selling my colibri collection because I have a feeling I won't need them anymore.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

I just ordered one on eBay. This thing is one hell of a solid lighter. It puts my Colibri to shame.

My Colibri, right out of the box, was never perfect. The adjustment would be set to max flame, but the flame is no where near what the Ronson is at half way.

And the ronson lights every single time. I love this thing.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

I have been using King triple refined fuel (in a big silver can) in both my torch lighters with no problems, works great and costs about $3 at my local smoke shop.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

These lighters are almost idiot proof. I use good butane,,,Vector, King fuel and don't even purge it or set the flow at all. I turn it over, fill it up,,wait a minute or two and this sucker just keeps going. If I did this to Prometheus, Colibri, etc etc I'd have a POS ligher that wouldn't light. I bought another 12 Ronsons but probably won't be using any of them,,,I'm still on the very first one and it's been about a year now.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

That is great LOL.

This lighter really does work great, never had an issue with it at all. I don't have that much experience with lighters but I have heard plenty of stories of expensive lighters that break and just generally suck.

For $3 I can't imagine having any desire to buy another single jet lighter again. I have gifted a couple of them to friends who smoke and have another one hanging around for a good gifting opportunity.

Why Ronson fuel of course! No seriously, I actually use cheap Ronson fuel in my lighter. If you look earlier in this thread you can see a pic of my Ronson. It has been through hell and back and still lights on the first click every time.

Scored some jets at CVS. $4.19 ea
The other two are called Elite brands, probally from the same factory in china as ronsons. I kinda like those better, see if they hold up.
