I would suggest a normal Zippo with a Torch insert. They make torch Zippo's but they dont look nearly as good and you have to spark the fuel by spinning a flint which is retarded. All together a good Zippo on ebay will set you back like $10.00 - $20.00. Then buy the insert for $5.00 to $10.00. Bad ass looking torch lighter.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

Ive seen Donnies Ronson in a photo and it looks like it's been around since the Civil War,,,,I love my Ronson lighters. I bought my first one a year ago and it works like new,,,,I have purchased at least a dozen more and have never had to use any of them and they are still in their minty fresh packages waiting for the day they will be used. I have a feeling they are going to have a very long wait.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

Ive had mine for 3 years and its still going strong but ive been using my xtend lately. I got a couple for my friend and I heard a little while ago that surprisingly his stopped working. I guess there are just some bad ones in the batch.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

Gotta think you guys for this thread. I wanted to get a torch lighter but back in my cigarette smoking days I went through a LOT of crappy torches but somehow never stumbled across this gem. I had to hit six different stores but my local CVS had them so I picked up a couple. It's only been a week, but I have yet to have a single misfire which is almost mindblowing to me considering the battles I've had getting most torches somewhat consistent. Fantastic lighter, and cheap enough that it won't piss me off if I end up losing one. Thanks again!

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

I received one from slyder (Koby) and took mine to the casino used it all weekend long, with no problems. My brother-in- laws used it to light their cigs and loved it one tried to keep it.

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

I believe the Ronson Windlite uses regular lighter fluid, not butane. You can check out all Ronson lighters at Ronson Corp, ronson lighters, ronson lighter fuel, ronson butane fuel, cigarette lighters, ronson, refillable lighters, windproof, ignitors, flints, wicks, flame accessories, butane soldering torch, lighter fluid.

Ever light a cigarette with regular lighter fluid? Ever notice the smell of lighter fluid? You'll get that same taste in your cigar if you light it with lighter fluid. Butane is good. Natural gas is good. Cedar matches or strips are good. Anything else stay away from.

Some people will even tell you that a soft flame butane lighter (like a bic) is no good. I actually prefer a soft flame to a torch. It doesn't burn quite so hot, which keeps the flavor in the right place.

I actually burned my finger with a Bic trying to light a cigar last night, because it took so long to light..and then I had to relight the bic when I tried to restart it...it was so hot my finger burnt...that is when I figured I better look into something much better then this LOL

I have this nice blister at the end of my thumb

Hopefully I can find one of these cheap Ronson

Thanks for the info

Re: Ronson JetLite Torch Lighter

You should be able to pick one up at a Wal-Mart. Check the racks at the checkout counter where they stock cigarettes.

Got one of these today at Walmart. I love it! Got it for "free" too (had a gift card that I forgot about for 2+ years lol)
