Probably is the best option.

I think I'll be trying that out tonight...

I found a tray that was about a foot long and three inches wide, with vents along the side. It is a perfect fit in the bottom of my coolerdor. I put the beads in a nylon and put the tray in the bottom of the coolerdor. I found them in the little Travel and Trial size toiletry section of Target.

I might try the nylon stocking thing tonight, or rummage around for something "space efficient." My wife has been looking for the top of the butter dish for 3 months now.

Similar setup here too.

I used kids applesauce/pudding cups along with cheese cloth and nylon stockings and rubber bands.

I originally just had the plastic cups in there with beads. I then figured I'd better cover them just in case they tip over. Thats when I took nylon stockings and a rubber band to create a mesh lid. Works just fine and I feel better knowing that even if the jars tip over, my cigars should be protected.

I'm with Matt and Greg here. The panty hose will mold to what ever space you put it in and it also has a higher amount of surface exposed for better RH control.

We just got out of the baby food and into real food with our daughter. Over the past 10 years of having little ones the only thing I liked were the frosted animal crackers and the whipped cheese cake in a jar. One for the baby and one for daddy!!!!

Check in the travel/sample aisle at Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar Store, etc. They often have plastic items -- toothbrush holder, small plastic jars, etc. -- that will work perfectly for beads.

Re: New bead container; well modified

I just purchased my first pound of Heartfelt beads. I have six humidors that I would like to eventually convert to beads. I have found that a weekly pill container is great for holding the beads. I simply cut the covers off with a razor knife and spread the beads over the seven small compartments. I then activated the beads and covered the entire case with a stocking and a rubberband. One container holds 2 ounces of beads but I think it could probably hold 3 ounces if needed. In one 100 ct humidor, I left the original large credo in the bottam half and put 1 ounce of beads in the top half. I am not sure that this is a good thing to do but it appears to be keeping the RH steady on both levels of the humidor. Just a suggestion. Hope that helps.
