Sorry, didn't realize that as long as you put in a QUALIFIER, that calling someone a prejudiced MF was valuable....thanks for the benefit of your wisdom.

OK you got me. Can't resist.

The facts as I read them.

He seasoned a "Brand New" limited edition humidor that came full of cigars. Got a reading of 58% initally. This being after he removed the 30 cigars that came in the humi. I suppose he put them in another humi, then proceeded with the seasoning.

Did you read the "facts" differently?

How does a subjective review of a product become "fact"? You must have discovered a new branch of science, because a review is an opinion.

Even if there was no conflict of interest, which there clearly is, a subjective review is an opinion, not a fact.

You call people out here, tell them to "chill"....seems like you're the one with his panties in a bunch.

Dr., I don't know you but I have visited your site and enjoyed it. I hope you will stay and continue to contribute, but I don't necessarily feel the same about your self-appointed little toadie.

Listen, guys, again sorry for being offensive. I saw what I thought was unneeded harrasin' of Dr. Stogiefresh for his review - and it pissed me off, truthfully.

A non-seasoned humi, full of pricey cicars? Interesting.

Dave, Dave, Dave............

The good doctor clearly states that the initial reading was 56%, not the 58% you claim. Climb down from your lofty pillar of truth and admit that you are wrong about everything.....................

Wow, $8 and 10 days to season a 50ct humi.

I stand corrected. Although I feel you acted with prejudice singling out my post for correcting factual misrepresentations.

Re: Bóveda One-Step Humidor Seasoning Kit

I don't think he said it was nonseasoned. He just stated the beginning humidity and went from there. It isn't supposed to be the best way, it's a review with the facts and his opinion of the relative score on a 100 point scale. Why so critical of this contributor? - this is why I chimed in in the first place.

Only stated a critique in my first post as an opinion on his posting this particular review. That opinion has not changed.

The rest has been responses to your posts and additional factual comments based upon his review and your actions.

Don't know Doc well enough to be critical of him. Could be a great guy or an asshat as we don't know each other.... my guess is great guy.

You?

I like the Doc's site too but, why would one season an already seasoned humi?

It is not usual that a humidor with cigars would be pre-seasoned by the manufacturer. The manufacturer usually wraps the humidor in cello and ships to the retailer who then stores in their humidor until sale, usually without the cello. In the case of the LGC humidor, the cigar trays were completely wrapped in cello and each individual cigar was wrapped with a cedar sheet and also cello wrapper. This is just extra care to preserve the cigar freshness. What I did was to remove the cigars from their protective cello and put them in a different humidor until after the seasoning process.

Did you not read the friggin' review - very informative. Do yourself a favor, and the rest of us too, and take a look at the information in an objective way, instead of spouting off about some illusionary moral dilemma, which appears to exist only in your head, based on the nature of the stated relationship between Dr. Stogiefresh and boveda. Better yet, before that, review the product yourself and then give us your oh so enlightened view of things. You're just making an unfounded assumption about the personal character of Dr. Stogiefresh, as, from what I can tell, you know neither him nor the people at Boveda. What the hell do you know about the validity of the information; nothing, I'm going to venture. If you do know something of value, make a comment about it instead of something about which you know nothing. Please quit stifling reviewing members (at the risk of sounding hypocritical, I say this, as I am trying to stifle you.) As far as I can tell, you are just a prejudiced MF, who hasn't lent anything of value to this site by your comment, here. If the truth of the information can stand alone, just let it be. We don't need your "every point of view" or complete transparency approach, which you seem to think is going to somehow change the information presented, based on your assumptions. Instead it just quells the spirit and enthusiasm members like Dr. Stogiefresh bring to this site.
WELL SAID, my cloistered compatriot! The man-fool DaKlugs has obviously been sniffing entirely the wrong pair of women's undergarments today, and has clearly become light headed from the strain!

It is always so gratifying when an upstart of your obvious potential steps forward in such daunting fashion to deliver such skillful ripostes as "Take a chill pill" and "you are just a prejuduiced MF", spelling errors notwithstanding!

I salute your courageous defense of the illuminati, and the real membership of the Club Stogie from the nebulous interloper Klugs, and his slovenly Sidekick "Jgros whatever." BRAVO!

And the unflinching disposal of that lamentable village idiot IceHog3 with the clear superiority exhibited by your commanding use of capital letters! Why, a tongue-lashing of this sort should be subject to an admission fee!

It is well overdue that someone took upon themselves the mantle of "school crossing guard of etiquette" in these environs! And I can think of none so well-suited to fare forth in the metaphorical fluorescent orange vest of righteousness than thee, my good sir!

You have my undying admiration, o dweller of a fair-maiden-worthy abode! Dear sir, let me be the first to beg you to let down your hair, that I may climb up and gaze in ecstacy upon your visage!

Yours in true admiration,

ANON-Y-MOUSE,
