I dont know who the hell you think you are but Da Klugs brings more to this site then you ever will. For someone with only 28 or so posts to be flapping their mouth regarding someone they probably dont even know or have never talked with is complete bullshit and I suggest to keep yourself from having a new asshole ripped by other BOTL you go into hiding for awhile.

Bah, to bear the slings and arrows of one so astute at literary endeavors as yourself is indeed a difficult cross to bear, but bear it I shall.

Perhaps you might consider re-reading my post in between reruns of "The Real World" as you seem to have completely misunderstood its intent, and true purpose.

This shall serve as your one, and only, warning. Beware my wrath, oh silly generator of ill-advised noms-de-plume.

Dr Stogie - sorry for making a mountian out of a mole hill

Ivory Tower - Get back to studying. You have a bar exam to pass and 100 hour weeks for 8 years to make partner to look forward to.

Re: Bóveda One-Step Humidor Seasoning Kit

I read this review, thought "interesting, but I'll pass," saw Klugs post, thought "good catch," and thought nothing more of it until just now when I noticed the thread was on page 4...page 4!

Anyway, after read it all, and laughing my ass off, I just have to say that if this guy passed the bar exam, then I'm no longer going worry about it.

There's absolutely NOTHING illegitimate about me, and I resent the implication.

I'm still trying to figure out what 'riposte' means...

Cool! Can I stop sitting in the corner now? And about this dunce cap....?

Nah, really, just let me know when you think I'm off base and i will try my best to do something about it.

In my best efforts to appease the collective cerebral grey matter....

First, you will notice that there is no longer a URL to the Stogie Fresh site in my signature (though I note a lot of the good folks promote a lot of sites including their own; like our good buds Dogwatch Dale and Viper).

Second, from now on I promise to let everyone know if i have paid $2 for a $4 product, or whatever. Hopefully this will make my posts more credible.

Third, I promise not to shamfully promote Stogie Fresh (as if it is really shameful to promote cigars) on this site.

Finally, but not least, I will continue to love cigars; to buy them, collect them, hord them, complain about bad deals on them, and above all share them and smoke them with my good buddies. I suppose that's what most of you will continue doing as well.

I will continue to be proud of Stogie Fresh (even if I don't name it by name here) and the excitement of pursuing my hobby with my own website.

My best to all BOTL,

The Doc

Re: Bóveda One-Step Humidor Seasoning Kit

Doc,

fwiw, I have no problem with your site link in the sig line.
It's just a fact of internet life that some of us are also involved in outside things that may interest the members here - and especially considering that your site is cigar-related, and doesn't sell anything, it never bothered me.

As long as you are careful about crossing the 'promotion' line, which both of the members you mentioned are, I doubt there'll be any problems. Some others may feel differently, but perhaps this is a subject for pds' guidance?

Also, for what its worth, i like your site. Sorry this thread took the unfortunate turn it did, but I don't think any of it was directed at you

peace,

Raney

As before sorry for blowing this out of proportion. The link is OK by me as well not that it matters.

I resent having my name dragged through the mud like that, I take it as a personal attack!
Anon-y-mouse, those were two of the funniest posts I have ever read here, thank you!
As for Stogiefanatic, your defense of Da Klugs at what you perceived as an attack is admirable.
Doc, I agree with Raney on this one, I like your site, and I have no problem with the link in your sig. This thread got blown way out of proportion, IMHO, and I'm glad I didn't get involved, but I think everyone is OK with the link, and even you talking about stogiefresh, I just think they'd like a heads up when you're plugging someone who is your partner. Just my take it or leave it, I'm just a newb, what do I know?

Phew...

'cause if kwagga got wind of the 'illegitimate' part, he might try to cut me out of the will. And you just KNOW there's some heavenly cigars (and cut&paste reviews) in THAT document!

Re: Bóveda One-Step Humidor Seasoning Kit

You are correct there are many people that have links and advertisments to their sites. Let me give you an example of the correct way! Viper sells beads. He did not come to CS raving about the beads or reviewing them he just said here they are, this is how they work if you need them I am here. When word spread people started to talk and gave the beads the review.. Uncle Mikey sells cigars.. He contributes to the board and he list his specials. But he does not review the Cigars he sells. If I wanted that kind of information I would buy a copy of CA or even hop in Cigar Weekly.

I say if you want to display your URL, display it..
