It will hold 300 approximately.

Seems like a good deal for 100.00

Looks good to me. Just get yourself some 65% beads and you're set!

Unless you are thinking box purchases, then the Vinotemps are looking pretty sweet!

Re: Enough capacity? (is this a good one)

It counts on what you are doing with it. My experience so far has been thus:

Started with 20 ct box
Bought 40 ct box a week later
Bought 100 ct box two weeks later
Just bought cooler for a coolerdor

If I were you, I would purchase (or stick with) 50-100 ct box that looks pretty, and buy a cooler for $20 and use that for box purchases, and aging sticks. A $100 for a 300 ct, in my opinion, is simply not worth it compared to a $40 100 ct, and $20 coolerador that can hold 400 alone.

Keep in mind that the claimed capacity is really about 2/3rds of what it says. That goes for just about every humidor.

Re: Enough capacity? (is this a good one)

I have no room for any more coolers.. LOL

(too many hobbies, soo little space)

Even if I get 200 in there that would be sufficient I think, just wanted to know what quality you guys expected and if it was a nice place to start.

I will buy a couple boxes but doubt that I would have more than 200 cigars on hand.........

i think.

Just want something to start off with. I want to buy one box but don't want them to get nasty by the time I smoke them.

It is a wonderful humidor and price is right.

Large capacity for you and two drawers for the cutters, matches, etc.
You should have ordered it by now.
Hahahaha

Save yourself the trouble. Go grab a cooler, head to your local shop and see if you can get some of the empty boxes from the owner, buy smokes from him for the trouble and store the cigars there. This way you have room to grow. Good luck

BADS.. If you spend a lot of time around here, you will quickly outgrow that desktop. :] that's not a bad thing. But historically speaking, it happens to most in here.

It may be time to consider converting one of those old hobby coolers into a cigar cooler or replacing it with a new one. Trust me :]

i think.

I have this humidor, and it was my first. It's a good place to start, it gives you plenty of room for random singles or a few boxes worth - the inital cigar surge as you head into this hobby. Quality isn't an issue. I am extremely happy with it for $100. I've got it packed full of cigars now, and I think I've probably got about 200 in there. It's a great piece, and I enjoy the storage drawers at the bottom. Has a fantastic seal, and the hygrometer "hole" in the lid is a perfect fit for the round adjustable digital hygrometer. Put some beads in that bad boy and it's a great box.

I am in the process of getting a Vinotemp going now to store boxes, but I will continue to use this humidor. It really does hold a lot of cigars, so it's worth it. Sure, some time you'll probably run out of room, but it's large enough to make that a non-issue for a while and also that it will be one stepping stone toward a Vino, cooler or cabinet as opposed to numerous 20- or 50-count stepping stones. It's good to have one good-looking desktop for singles to display and a cooler or Vinotemp for bulk storage.

Anyway, it's a good buy and a good start, so if the $100 is on hand, go for it.
