The Noober Versus the Nubber!!!

So,

My dear friend Jorge sent me a little bomb that included one of his handmade nubbing tools. Being the man that i am i was very grateful. I want to share a nice short review of my second experience of nubbing a cigar. I mainly nub ISOM's because i want to enjoy and analyze the stick to the very end.

The victim:

Ramon Allones Small Club Corona

Size: 110mm x 42RG
Cigar Shape: corona
Cigar Filler: ISOM
Cigar Binder: ISOM
Cigar Wrapper: ISOM

Smoking Time: 40 minutes
Flavor: multiple

Well, what can i say? I am a true Habanos believer. I have smoked about a half dozen and i reall do enjoy them. I enjoy them so much that i want to savor the flavor (like crumbs fallen into a beard for a TBA snack).

Preseason pics:

Intimates:

foot fetish

The tools for this fool:

my welder

jorge's nubber

I have nubbed a cigar before. I used the finger hole in my cigar cutter and it worked okay. My "cons" about using the finger hole would be these reasons. The hole warps the shape of the cigar, inhibits the draw, and eventually messes up the cap of the cigar. It also may be too large in diameter to smoke a smaller RG stick.

Let the journey begin:

The cigar starts out smooth and muted, very likeable. The best part about habanos (for me) is that they all start out similarly like a good start to a story. But they almost always throw some good surprises your way during the body of the story that differ from others.

First impressions-point-five:

So we are startign to see the cigar heat up a bit and we see that "centered" peppery blend that is sorrounded by a smooth outer tone.

Re: The Noober Versus the Nubber!!!

Halftime, USC is leading:

University of Soothing complexity.

The smoke has a much more "greeny" floral taste to it and it just wont quit. For such a small RG cigar we are seeing a nice loose and fulfilling draw.

developing a small burn issue..

The kicker:

Waht a hot blast of spicey and floral tones. Such a good creamy aftertaste. Habanos always tend to be very complex sticks with unique characteristics.

After hours:

You dont have to go home, you just cant stay here... OR CAN YOU?

Just to describe the tool, its got a very nice sharp tip that pierces and really holds onto the cigar. ITs also nice because it allows you to get full access to the head of the cigar without sucking in ambient air. Very "user settign friendly" lol.

the base is nice because its easy to hold and you can set it down to hold the cigar in a suspended manor.

This is the "batman" of all nubber pics...

The best part is, you wont burn your fingers!!!!

Thank you Jorge, You have given me a useful solution to getting the most out of my Habanos. This truly is a genius tool that GLOWS IN THE DARK!!! How cool is that>?? You know what my friend, it's a great invention and i am so happy to have one. It truly kicks other nubbers a$$ because you gan set the damn thing down on its based and not disturb the cigar!

The cigar was wonderful, i thank all of you for checking my reviews out. I do enjoy writing them and i loved being able to share them with all of you. Happy new Year from Columbus Ohio!!!

- Bobby

How long did it take you to smoke the cigar down to this point? The cherry on the cigar looks like it's half the length of it.

Hey B... Try slowing down and letting the cigar burn cooler. Good chance you'll notice more nuance in the flavor of what you're smoking. Just food for thought.

If it does nothing for you then keep on burning them hot.

Of course Greg (NCRadioMan) smokes a robusto in about 5 minutes so maybe there is something to smoking fast.
