Guinness Colibri Firebird Lighter

I haven't had a chance to use it yet but it's a single jet refillable butane lighter, styled to look like a frothy pint o' goodness. I saw it on CI for $19.99 but my local B&M had it for $14 so I picked one up. For the price it seems to be a sweet little lighter. I'll try it later tonight and report on how well it works

Re: Guinness Colibri Firebird Lighter

Sorry it took me so long to share how well this lighter works. For a single torch it's not to bad, I was using it indoors so I can't vouch for the windproofiness of it. It lit my Padron 3000 with ease. Out of the box the only thing that had to be adjusted was the flame height to compensate for the flip lid. Overall I would say there are way better lighters out there but since it's only $19 online, it's worth the "cool" factor of lighting up with a pint o' guinness.

Re: Guinness Colibri Firebird Lighter

Bought that Firebird torch a couple weeks ago at my B & M and it works great! Not a problem in the wind. The guy who sold it to me said to only use Colibri butane in it? Don't know if he just wanted the sale or other butane won't work as well. Anyone filled theirs with another brand?

What he should have told you was not to use the standard butane like Ronson in that lighter, or any other torch style lighter. Torch lighters require refined butane...X4....I don't know how refined Colibri fuel is...I've used it in my three Colibri lighters and they all quit on me anyway.

Re: Guinness Colibri Firebird Lighter

I picked one up around Father's Day, my local B&M had them for $12. I finally used it last night on a Habana Leon torpedo. I was outside and it was a bit windy and it worked well for a single flame. My only issue is that after it got hot the flame faded a bit. But for $12 it's a cool lookin lighter.

Re: Guinness Colibri Firebird Lighter

After looking back at what I posted, I would like to apologize. I was just interjecting my opinion about the beer but did not mean to demean someone else's opinion. After looking over the sight in more depth, I have found that sometimes people's opinions differ and that can cause ill will. I meant what I said in fun and will not say anything derogatory about what someone else posted like this again.
