HumiPearls 70% RH beads

I purchased 1.5lb of these on eBay Click Here

This is my first experience with any kind of beads. I put around 4oz in my 100ct desktop humidor by replacing the foam in a rectangle humidifier and I put the rest into a cooler. I moistened the beads and when I checked the next morning, the RH in both the cooler and the desktop were at 65%. I have monitored both for 5 days now and the RH is holding steady at 65%. At $8.50 per half pound with free shipping, I would definitely recommend these to anyone. BTW, these really are not repackaged cat litter. These beads are much smaller....say 1/4 the size of cat litter.

That's less than half the price of Heartfelt beads, but Viper always gives great customer service and offers more selection. I'm always a little cautious of buying stuff on ebay.

Looks like a good score.

The description says they're 70% beads but you're getting 65%. Are you using calibrated hygrometers to measure the RH? Thanks.

I agree. I ordered my 2oz tube Saturday and I got it today. Nevada to Ohio Saturday to Monday. Pretty good. I will always pay extra for good service.

Good buy, but I have to chime in and give my "+1" on viper from heartfelt. Great service.

Ditto....and my humi is rock solid with the Heartfelt's. Have recommended him to 2 other people who've recently got new humidors. They're very happy with the results.

I'm sure the HumiPearls are good, also.

I understand that 100%, had my budget been a little bigger I would have made the heartfelt purchase. Just thought I would try these for about half the price.
I've seen the debates about the beads before and God knows I DO NOT want to start another one here. Just thought I would let you guys know if they work or not.

I got the beads in today and I put them in a small tupperware container with some water. Sealed that up in a ziploc with my Digital Hygrometer. I'll let you guys know what happens

Re: HumiPearls 70% RH beads

I left these sealed in the bag all night, I checked on them several times. At first the humidity went really high (97%) but within a few hours it had settled in to 67% and has been steady there all day.
I plan on installing them in my cooler tonight with some empty boxes. Then I'll see how long it takes to stabilize.
