Re: Butane fuels: Colibri vs Vector

I have been having trouble with my Lotus lately using Colibri fuel. I guess I am going to pay CI a visit and get some Vector gas. Thanks for the thread.

Colibri butane sucks. Definitely going to try the Vector butane.

Would local B&M's have the Vector fuel?

Your local B&M should carry this (I do!). If they don't, turn them on to this tread. They will appreciate the info!

Re: Butane fuels: Colibri vs Vector

hmm I just use whatever in the disposable butane lighter.
Is there a reason to buy an expensive one especially when I read about all the lighting problems and maintenance problems. I just pick up a diposable and they always light.

What am I missing. I am new and willing to learn.

My B&M has Ronson fuel and King fuel, which is triple refined. Been using it both of my torch lighters with zero problems. Costs about $3 for a big can; Can't imagine needing anything different or 'better'.

Well Vector is 5$ per can at my B&M, and it's 5+ times Refined, and can is 320ml? How big are Ronson or King cans? Haven't tried those!

Re: Butane fuels: Colibri vs Vector

+1 more for the Vector fuel. I had problems with both Colibri, and Ronson. Since switching to Vector, no issues at all.
