I have seen a few, not sure if it wold be that good. maybe in a dark room with no sunlight since sun will heat those babys up.

I used one of these awhile ago and it worked fine. I cut a piece of cedar for the bottom and used a bead tube. I wouldn't be too concerned with room light, as long as it's not in direct sunlight.
Just be careful handling them in there. You can easily damage the foot.   |

I have I used for cigars at one timebefore I`ve had got a big enough humi now I use it to preserve beef jerky keeps jerky fresh it will keep cigars fresh just keep in a cool place no sun light
