Yeah, me too. These are the only type I've ever seen produce a decent V. The ones I've seen have been in B&Ms and were upwards of $300.

If this is the wrong place to ask, I apologize, I just have to know. What are the benefits for using a v-cut? Does it produce more or less flavor or just personal preference?

I didn't buy this cutter but I think the MSRP is around $10 and have seen it on a couple internet stores. Mine is black in color but they have other colors. It is made by/for Xikar and made in Germany as you can see from the pics.

So this thing cuts the cap on a cigar like a hot knife theu butter! It leaves the smoothest cleanest cut I have ever seen from any cutter, and I think deeper then most V-Cutters. The blade cuts from the outside in, instead of the inside out like all other V-Cutters.

I think this is the best V-Cutter on the market and at a good price, so if you like a V-Cut or want to try one go find one of these babies.

man I just cut two cigars with my new wolf v-cutter and it did a crappy job. How did you manage to get such a clean cut? I'm very disappointed with mine...

Mine's been working beautifully, has become my "go-to" cutter, and I even went back to the store and picked up an extra for back-up. Is it possible you got a bad one that slipped through the cracks?

I'm not sure but luckily my regular xikar cutter salvaged my 4 tester cigars lol. I'm sending it back. I don't know if for some reason theres some trick I'm not getting or just a bad cutter. But for now I'm sticking with my xikar, has never let me down.
