I picked up one of these from a local B&M after reading this thread. Works wonders! Thanks very much for the review Frank.

Re: Wolf V-Cutter review w/pics for GlockG23

I bought my V Cut about 10 years ago and paid quite a price,,,but it still cuts like new and after all these years it finally paid for itself. It is called the "Little Guy" from Boston Cutters. If you have seen the big one you know how great it makes a V Cut. When I bought mine they weren't as expensive as they are now but I guarantee you,,,,it cuts like a friggin razor blade and it never gets dull and don't buy the cheap copies,,,they are a POS and don't work like this one.

I hear ya,,,when I bought mine back in 1999 it was $100 but I was sold on how it cut. The bigger model,,,,The Boston Cutter cost over $500 and I wasn't going to pay that much ( wish I had in retrospect as this cutter has 3 different types of cuts ) but 10 years later it cuts like brand new and I have a Xikar cutter as well so I won't ever have to buy a cutter again for life. At $10 a piece for just a run of the mill cutter how many will you buy in a lifetime? As everyone knows,,you get what you pay for. I know not every one would like to put that kind of coin down on this type of accessory,,,but I guarantee you that there isn't another V Cutter that beats this one.

the Boston cutter is a fantastic investment I would love to have one but for now my palio will have to take care of business.

There is no doubt you got a bad one! I would send it back and get it replaced. I am not a V Cut guy, I like the straight cut better. But I use this cutter because it cuts so damn easy and smooth!! I have cut hundreds of cigars with it and have never had one prob, its cuts just as good now as the first time I used it! And yes I have a very nice Xikar, but still use the Wolf most of the time.

My Palio is still my "go to" but on occasion I do enjoy a V cut, the wolf is definitely a great cutter for the money, of course assuming you didn't get a lemon.

I bought one of these today for $10.00. I must say I was very surprised at how light it is. Have not used it yet but the blade seems nice and sharp.

I use mine all the time and have been since they originally came out several years back!

It's great for making a criss-cross v-cut on large ring gauge cigars too!

Re: Wolf V-Cutter review w/pics for GlockG23

Used my nw one this morning on a PSD4 (Robusto). It did a fine job of cutting the stick but I think I prefer a regular straight cut over the V. Not that there was anything wrong with the cut but more or less just a matter of personal reference.
