Xikar Enigma Lighter

Was looking for a new lighter preferably a double-jet to light up my gars. I was looking for something that would consistently light (of course) and have a window to check on fuel level. Also was not looking to go nuts on $$$.

Since I like Xikar cutters and the fact that they back their products was some great customer service, I decided to look at some of the lighters that they offer. I liked the look of the Enigma and since I was able to get one at a good price decided to go for it.

Looks wise, it appears to be a tank. Nice clean lines give it a a modern look. It has a little window which you can check how much fuel is in. It also has a nice big wheel on the bottom which allows you to adjust the size of the flame on the fly without the use of any tool.

When you pick it up, the first thing you notice is that it is not exactly as heavy as it looks. Does it feel cheap? Not exactly. It does not feel flimsy or that it will fall apart. There is weight on it but really feels lighter that it looks.

Click the swith down, the latch pops open and you get a nice double flame. When you have it turned on all the way up you get a huge flame which makes you think that you can almost weld with. On release the flame shuts off (of course) but the latch over the jets remains open requiring you to manually close it.

Tried it a few times last week and over the weekend and lit every time with no sputtering or stalling. The positioning of the button down seems to keep the hand away from the warm (hot) spots.

Two people asked to see the lighter and commented on its looks.

Overall, I am very satisfied. Not sure how long the fuel will last but since it is a duel jet I would imagine that it is not exactly great in this respect. I will try to update in a few weeks and let you guys know if it is still going strong or if any issues arise.

Stay strong and happy smokes.

Re: Xikar Enigma Lighter

Xikar makes awesome lighters, I just bought Trezo last week, and It's good too light at least 8-9 cigar before it needs to be refilled. You should be good. Just be filling it up with Vector Butane Fuel!!!

Re: Xikar Enigma Lighter

Wanted to give you guys an update.

The lighter works very well. I have noticed that it is very quiet when at work which during the day makes it difficult to see if it is even working

On the lower setting it sometimes does sputter on me. I keep the fuel wheel set to a little more towards the + side of the middle. Works pretty consistenly there. The higher you set the gage the better it works to almost no misses.

Overall, still very pleased with this lighter.

Egis,

No refills yet! I think you hit the number of smokes I may get out of this before needing refills.

I've got a Enigma. It works great. My first came defective but I mailed it back and they sent me a new one. Xikar customer service is great.

Re: Xikar Enigma Lighter

Xikar lighters are my favorites. I own a red Xikar Eris. Going to go for a Xikar Havana lighter once I can afford it.
