Ive been using the standard credos for a while now, and once you have seasoned and stable, it stay right on, with very little maintenance.
I have had problem with only 1 of 9 full humidors losing rh with the cooler weather setting in, I thought it was the credo, but it was the glass leeching air.
I coated around with clear silicon and it is better then when I first purchased it.
I am glad everyone likes the beads, and am about to place an order for some crap I need, and will buy some beads to experiment with one of the humidors.
I am always open for improvement and would like to test on one only, before I go whole hog.

The thing I think with a credo, is too many people dont bother to attend and learn how to use them.
You need to leave some room inside for h20 to be reabsorbed, and when you first start a new credo to use pg solution only, and then only use d.w. for each touch up and only a little bit.
About every 5th time you need liquid, reapply the pg. This should only probably be maybee once a year for the pg.
I find each humi, only needs maybee a teaspoon of d.w. every two months. Its no bother and nothing taking up any room in the humidor.

Much regards Jerry

I tried the heartfelt beads and wasn't impressed. Switched to the crystal cat litter(it's the same thing only cheaper) and haven't looked back.

So they are the same thing except that one works and one doesn't?

I will leave the kitty litter for the cat and buy my humidification device from a BOTL. Of course that is just me and YMMV.

Got a quick question about the beads. What is the best way to store them in your humi?

You want as much surface area as possible. You can put them in mesh bags such as the ones they sell (or paint sprayer screens). I also have some in pantyhose. You want to try to have quite a bit of surface area so that the can perform their job more efficiently.

Re: Heartfelt beads (AMAZING)

I have two of the round plastic pucks, filled with Heartfelt beads. One in a small tuperador, and the other in a 20-30 count humi.

After having to dry them in the oven about twice, after absorbing excess moisture and me keeping humidity at 75+ for a period, I got it down to 67% consistently for past 3 months. They work great. Even in the drier fall months now, they keep it at a nice, tropical 67%.

I got a new one, the large puck, for a larger tupperador (2.5 gallon rubbermaid). Although it came a bit saturated, all i gotta do is fire it up in the oven to dry it out, and then let it absorb the excess moisture out of the cedar shelf I have in this tupperador.

They are really easy to use, and once you get everything kosher, you.....set it and forget it!

Re: Heartfelt beads (AMAZING)

i think i will try and get some of these, does anyone have any pics of the beads in their humidor(s). do you think the "Round Cigar Humidifier 65% - Small" would do the job for a 75-100ct milano humidor

Re: Heartfelt beads (AMAZING)

If you check out Heartfelts page you will see a list on the left which includes "calculator". You can use it to determine how many beads you need. Keep in mind it does not hurt to have too many. I know I do and it just lets it react quicker. I have mine in a butter dish, with their bag. I think you can find bags cheaper locally though, or as others have said pantyhose. In a dish no bag would really be necessary.
