Heartfelt beads (AMAZING)

I know this has been discussed often. But for those on the fence, these things are like magic. I started smoking about 6 or 7 years ago. I stopped for a few years and got back into it about a month ago. Back then I don't remember these beads being around. I used your standard foam filled humidifier with the solution. Never could get it exact. I recently read of the beads so I went to Heartfelt and got the Blue Tube (the biggest one). Put a little DW in it and like magic went to 65 and stays there. Even after opening the humidor it gets back up to 65 pretty quickly..

Re: Heartfelt beads (AMAZING)

Just don't add too much water! I filled a smaller tube with what I thought was the recommended amount, left for a weekend and when I came back the humi was at 80% and had 2 sticks starting to grow mold! I am still trying to get it back down to 65%!

they sure do work wonders. I have them in a coolerdor and hardly ever have to rehydrate them. Always keeps a constant 65% to 68% RH.

Re: Heartfelt beads (AMAZING)

I've been using the Boveda packs for sometime now. Do the beads work better than the packs? The winter is coming and I'm living with a wood stove for the first time this year and I know I'll be struggling with the humidity till the spring. Thanx.

Re: Heartfelt beads (AMAZING)

I will always recommend Heartfelt over anything else. Having said that, use what works for you. If the packs are working now they will work in the winter providing your humi has a good seal.

The Boveda Packs work fine... The only problen is that they have a limited lifespan, unlike the Beads which last for a very long time if used with Distilled Water. -John

I have a boveda pack that came with a AF box (Local B&M gives them away). I use it when I'm on the go and then throw it back into my empty 20ct humi with the credo filled and it has kept re-charging it for the past few months now.

I just switched over heartfelt beads in my humi and it really has made a difference. I was wondering though, since the beads transfer humidity both ways, could I throw a few dry-mistat tubes to feed the beads?
