Re: 1st Humidor?

Please remember, that even thought those picnic hampers, which are inexpensive and do a great job with cigars, may not be to everyones taste.
Sometimes, a fellow, has to take aesthetics(spelling) in mind, especially when if have to deal with a signifigant other.
And also someone like me, I know the hampers are the best bang for the dollar, but I love the whole experiance of having humidors, and their looks, and cedar smells, and the way your cigars lay out, and the separation of humidors into different principles or sizes.

So the picnic hamper might not be the best solution for everytone.

regards Jerry

Re: 1st Humidor?

A cooler and beads? How does that work, more info please!

I'm actually moving from smoking a pipe to getting into cigars and am looking for my first humidor. I really like the 'Amalfi' humidor from tampahumidor.com, it looks like an antique and holds fifty cigars. I'm thinking if I outgrow it I can use that smaller humidor at work to keep a stock of cigs handy, then use my larger humidor at home so I don't have too much money in cigars sitting on my desk at work. Or perhaps I'll get one of the 25 cigar capacity humidors so I can keep it in one of my desk drawers hidden and out of view.

I'm also thinking that a larger humidor has a larger capacity for water so that you won't have to mess with it as often by refilling it with water/solution?

If you PM the mods and have your account banned right now, the 25-50ct humi will work just fine. However, if you stay here for long, you're gonna need a walk-in.

Re: 1st Humidor?

I just bought a 150 ct. Glass top this morning from bargainhumidors.com in the Seconds section, their version of imperfect, for 48.99. The selection seems to vary everyday, just keep checking. Oh and it also came with a digital Hygrometer. I cant wait till it comes in.
