Enameled Cast Iron Ashtray Review
This ashtray has appeared in some of my cigar reviews and has sparked some attention from folks here so I thought I'd share the secret:
In a totally selfless act of love, my anti-smoking wife purchased this "ashtray" for me for my birthday a few months ago. I put ashtray in quote marks because it is actually a re-purposed spoon rest purchased from Target for about 10$. Its made of cast iron, is heavy and durable and has a nice black enamel coating on it. Cigars perch handsomely on the rest while ashes drop neatly into the bowl. Its as if it were made for cigars! I'm looking at this (without reading the text) thinking... "That's not an ashtray! I have that exact same thing on my stove for my cooking spoon"
