Re: Ronson JetLite Butane Lighter
I bought one about a week ago and i love it. I had a zippo i was using, but it was too hard to light cigars with the dancing flame.

Re: Ronson JetLite Butane Lighter
My Wal-Mart just restocked so I bought 4 more. They're so cheap that I keep them in my pocket with keys, change, etc... When the finish gets too wore I give them to my brother (a cigarette smoker). He loses more lighters than anyone I've ever met (I think he actually trades them for smokes).

Re: Ronson JetLite Butane Lighter
I just picked up some butane from walmart for $0.73. We'll see how well this sucker recharges.

Don't have an Wally Worlds close to where I live. I'm in Oklahoma now and picked one up from the local WW. Haven't tried it as I need to put in my luggage. Can't go wrong for the price.

Re: Ronson JetLite Butane Lighter
Oh, yeah, I did that. Guess I purged it without even realizing that's what I was supposed to do.

Also, after all the gas is out from holding the ignitor, I use a small screwdriver to depress the valve and make sure all the gas is out that way as well. |

Great call guys! Stopped by my Walmart Friday and thought they were out....there was one hiding WAAAAY at the back of the peg.
I prefer this to my Xikar Executive lighter. Compact, positive feel, great flame. And the comfort of knowing you can drop it, scratch it, break it and you're only out $3! My garage lighter! |

Re: Ronson JetLite Butane Lighter
Thanks for letting us know about this!!!
I just got 3... and they are a nice looking lighter for $3. Works great out of the package. If it lasts a few weeks it'll be doing better than the $15-20 lighters I've had. Why do manufacturers have such a hard time making a reliable lighter? The only ones that have worked well have been the cheapies. I got 2 from CI years ago for ~$8 a piece that worked great. When those retired, I got another $8 one, which worked fine until it got drowned in a river. I then got a Colibri Firebird, and it was crap. Returned it for another, and it isn't reliable. I got a Z-plus Zippo insert, and that didn't work right off the bat (viper sent a replacement right away, though). Anyway, I think I'm sticking to the cheap stuff from now on! Great find! |
