What the hell are battery gases? LOL.

This is a single D cell alkaline battery (Duracell) that's included with the Oust air freshener package.

I'm building a Edison-A-Dor and am thinking about using a fan from a copier - but if batteries around cigars are ok then I may opt for the Oust fans.

It's also available on Amazon.com. Click here ---> Oust. Just be sure to NOT use the included scent! Unless, of course, you wanna try your hand at homemade Acid cigars as wij mentioned.

Ermo, is there not a built-in fan in your wine-coolidor, or do you like the Oust in addition to the built-in? I've got an EdgeStar 18-bottle with a built-in fan and I'm thinking the built-in will do the trick, no?

this might be going out on a limb with fans but could you not use a cooling fan from a computer and have it set on some type of timer.

Some people have done this with pictures either on this forum or the other cigar forums.

Yeah, like Tapewormboy (eeew!) says, some folks go that route, but then you've got to fuss with wiring the thing and timers. I don't know the first thing about that stuff, so if I were gonna get a fan to supplement my built-in, I'd go with an Oust. Just slap a battery in and you're done. Easy.

I had heard about an issue with DC motors as well, they give off ozone as a byproduct.. dunno if it's a huge issue, but it is a small enclosed environment.. just a though..

COleman.
