Henry and I talked tonight.

NOBODY get's "black-balled" with Henry.

Henry has been "black-balled" among others, and he KNOWS the feeling.

We cannot release more than the 50 sets of Henry's Special Editions this year.

For what it's worth... Henry was been working on an Ebony finish, with 24K Gold initials. If you'd like a "test set, please let us know!

FWIW... Henry has suggested a new release (in addition to the four handle finishes he's also promised).... It has to do with the Oak handles, combined with 24kt. gold personlization... When we SEE it, we'll BELIEVE IT!!!

For what it's worth... We will be offering a new issue of Henry's "Classic" Tool Sets within a day or two. They will not be personalized... However, Henry has come up with a very nice selection of hand-rubbed wooden handle tones: Maple (the "original"); Walnut (deep & rich); Cherry (red & grainy), Ebony (wood grain perceptible through a rich, deep, dark finish).

IF a Special Edition reservation is cancelled, or does not result in an aorder, we will allert you.

HENRY WENT FISHING TODAY....

Some days, Henry is nearly "manic" in his work... I cannot ever hear my voice above the "tick-tack-blam-boom" of his hammers.

Other days, Henry grabs his fishing rod, settles into his rowboat, and says
"F&%ck it!" to those who dare to interrupt him.

It was in the mid-50s today... Henry has switched from earthworms to grubs as bait-of-choice.

I wandered out to the Work Shed... He had struck a few embossments on some handles.

I don't argue with Henry.... I know better. And I hope those of you who have ordered his SE tool sets will have a bit of patience. Henry NEVER fails to come through on his promises.

I definitely don't mind waiting a bit for the SE sets. I'm just happy that you and Henry are kind enough to offer up these tools to us. Plus you know what they say, "you [and Henry] can't rush a good thing" and "good things come to those [BOTL] who wait"!

Henry's Special Edition tool sets are not "machine-made." He's been hand-hammering initials of recipients since Monday... And he trashes two handles for every two he accepts. This is just the way it is. We make no excuses. Nor does Henry.

Anyone and everyone who has reserved and ordered a set of Henry's SE'swilll receive them... PERIOD.

Initials/names have been struck into the handles. Highligting and protective top-coats will be completed over the next three days. They will be shipped on Monday, 10/30.

DAWG... Good question!!!

In the morning, it's coffee strong enough to choke a horse (I've been there, I've had it, and I've choked!).

In the evening, it's a heavilly-iced bourbon or a very dark beer (depending upon the weather).

I stopped down at his work shed earlier tonight... He's got about 12 sets of SEs hanging on the "curing rack." They'll go out on Monday. I don't "bug" Henry about what he's doing, and he doesn't "bug" me about what I'm doing.

Another "Henryism":
