Tonight's smoke - over 2 hours of bliss
Tonight I decided to break out a Fuente Gran Reserva that I had been saving. From the start it was just perfect. I got a nice clean v-cut and an even light. The flavor started out nice and smooth with a little pepper, very pleasant. About halfway through it went mild but the strength intensified. I could feel it in my head - a nice little buzz. Stayed consistent right down to the nub. I probably would have taken it further but it went out on it's own. A great even burn all the way through, never had to touch-up or relight. Overall, a very enjoyable smoke and a great way to wind down the evening. A good night's sleep is sure to follow. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Glad to hear it was BLISS! I have had better luck with the smaller ring guage Fuente's like the Privada #1. I am slowly making my way through the Fuente line trying to find my perfect Fuente - well, at least the one that I can afford to smoke regularly. I am smoking the Opus X tonight, but that is hardly a "daily" cigar for a poor working schmoe like me! Last night I had the Fuente Sungrown King B, and that was good, but seemed to want to burn a little hot...so I'll keep hunting. Keep us informed on what you find out.

Can anyone tell me which Fuente this was? It was about 7" x 50, wrapped in cedar and had a green band at the foot.
I've had it for well over a year and am not familiar with the many varieties.

C'mon Frank, which one do you think I used?
Had to be that beauty from my secret santa! ![]() It's my favorite way to cut the smaller sticks (about 50 and under).

Sounds like the regular line in the Double Chateau. 6.75 x 50.
