Put the Coolidor in use.

Today the coolidor was finally ready to load up! I had left the boxes in it for the past few days, so they could season. The humidity inside was sitting right at 65, so I figured we were ready to roll.

The pictures should be fairly self explanatory, and I threw in a few shots to show the meager contents of the boxes. I also ended up throwing my girlfriends flavored cigars in a spare box, and it's inside there too.

I'm sure you guys already noticed, but I posted a humidor shot as well. I'm pretty sure that these coolers are more for 'long term storage' so I am going to pick up a wireless temp/humidity gauge today. Then I will open it once a week or so, when I need to stash a few more of my 'everyday grabs' back in the other humidor.

Mainly size, Glenn. It's airtight, so it holds in the humidity-especially when you fill it with cedar boxes. And, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than a comparably sized regular humidor. They are great for your 'long term storage'.

In my situation, it's nice to know that I can buy the gauges and beads-and they are transferable to a larger cooler. While I realize I could (should?) have gone larger-I have serious space/weight limits to watch. We have 0 extra floorspace here, so this was one that fits under a shelf in a specific cubby space.
