H. Upmann Mag 50
This was my first of the "New" Magnum 50 by H. Upmann..I've smoked the Limitada before..and really enjoyed it..and though I knew this was a new blend, I was looking forward to finding out what similarities ( if any) there were between the two..And let me tell you..though they share the same name...they are two very different cigars...The new blend is very similar to the Upmann Mag 46 in flavor and strength....The main flavor component to me, was cedar...along with the typical Cuban "twang"..hints of leather creeped in about midway through..along with some spice....The Limitada Mag 50 is a much stronger and bolder cigar than the new blend..with much more spice..and more sweetness ..I really like both cigars..but right now I have to give the edge to the Limitada..of course it has quite a bit more age on it...maybe the new blend will also mature in time...
