All in a Days smoke Medalist vs. Olor Fuerte?
These to me are two comparable cigars. Maduro in orientation, yet tobaccos from different countries. Wrappers one from Costa Rican the other Honduran.
To me the Alec Bradley Honduran/Nic. filler gives this cigar a great consistent taste or perhaps it is the wrapper which is Costa Rican. The binder is a sweet US Conn. binder. The cigare was coffee, chocolate, carmel, tasty, woody. Smooth smoking and good consistent burn with a medium- full smoke. The finish did not have a bite to it and it just smoked better.
The other had a Honduran wrapper and a DR, Nic., Brazil filler. The binder I suspect to be Mexican. Now I am not opposed to Mexican binders but they are just not my cup-o-joe. I don't mind Mexican fillers. The one had a bit of a bite to it comparable to a Mexican binder I tasted in an A Turrent product I smoked yesterday.
Yet CS top 25 says the binder of the Olor is many. These smokes were comparable yet the one I liked better.
Is it the binder I did not care for??
Perhaps it is my hats off to Kelner and the influence Occidental Reserve influence. Could this Olor have been aged to more for the binder to meld better with the cigar? Was it the wrapper making the difference in taste? I like Honduran wrappers as far as I know. Because I have smoked many Honduran cigars.
I just would like to know if anyone besides me can tell the difference in these two cigars...?
