Personalized Cigars
I will soon be a first time grandfather and wanted to get a box of personalized cigars with her name date of birth etc. on it. With the great abundance of knowledge and know how here I was hoping someone could direct me to a source.
I have found some at Thompson's and pretty much just what I'm looking for but I'm afraid of there house brand, from reading the many negative things I've heard about them.

Re: Personalized Cigars
this is kind of cool.
choose any cigar they carry and they laser engrave it (must be similar to the logo that comes engraved on... some cigar someone was talking about recently, i forget which). a bit pricey, but very cool: http://www.coronacigar.com/Laser_Eng...cid12_pg1.html |

Good memory Roger!
Here's another place where you can get bands put on "real" cigar brands, with a few different choices: http://www.tbs-cigars.com/pmain/index.html |

Re: Personalized Cigars
First of all, congrats on becoming a grandfather... I have two grandsons with a third coming this summer... it's great!
For our second grandson this past January I made my own labels and applied them to some cigars I got at CI... I thought they were fine... printed them on a lightweight glossy paper and applied them with photo adhesive tabs...the cigars came naked so I didn't have to deal with peeling other labels off. I will dig out a copy of the label and post (it's on my other computer)

Re: Personalized Cigars
Refill,
CONGRATS first of all, and best of luck on your search. I myself am expecting my first child any day now. My wife is due on the 16th so we're on the clock. I made up my own bands and since we don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, I placed both of them on my cigars and will just tear off the one that won't be used this time. ![]() I made bands and labels for the box of Indian Tabac Fire I bought. Here are some pics. Let me know if I can help you out in any way! |
