Dry cigars
I have an issue that I've been trying to figure out for a few days. I have some cigars which are out of cello and they're kind of dry. Not like crunchy and cracking dry, but they don't have much or any "bounce" (for lack of better term) when I give them a little squeeze. Is this common? Normal? I found that if I give them some heat like outside the wine cooler they're fine, I am just confused why this happened. It's not all of my sticks, just some and mostly unwrapped ones. I tested the humidity in my wine cooler from several locations and it's fine.
What gives? |

How do they taste, burn and draw?

Re: Dry cigars
sounds like what happens to any cigar I buy, the shops, be they online or local, tend to over-humidify (70+). I do not overhumidify (63-66) so after they sit in my humidor for a while, most of them tend to firm up and "dry out" ("level out" is probably a better term).
if the RH is where you want it in your storage don't worry about it

Re: Dry cigars
I had a bundle of Connie #9's that were like that. I kept them at a stable humidity for a month and now they are perfect.
