Tatuaje Cabinet Problem Fixed

Picked up this Tat Cabint (brown label) at my b&m. Looked great until I cut it. Noticed a small crack on the cut edge. So I decide to smoke anyway as I have dealt with this before.

So I spark it and no luck, part of the wrapper comes off on my lip. Damn. So I try to slobber on it to get it to stay. It just won't draw, like it has a large crack.

So I look at the thing and I notice there was another crack in the binder underneath the wrapper. This is the crack that was catching air.

Now I start to get pissed as this the second Tat this week that had construction problems both rendering the sticks unsmokable.

Then I decided to get a little creative as the thought of throwing away a barely smoked 13$ stick was quite unacceptable.

I find an old pack of EZ-Wider 1 1/4 rolling papers. Stick two together like in the old bomber days and wrap those bad boys around the cracked end of the Tat. Cut the end of the skin flush. Put a piece of scoth tape around the very end so my lips won't stick and BAM! I'm in business.

Anybody else got any interesting/improvised ways to save a smoke? Oh yeah I didn't have any veggie glue or whatever around so that idea was out. Glad I did as I am really enjoying this Tat!

Or you could have chopped it up in little pieces and put it in that "old pipe" you have stuffed in the back of a drawer along with those EZ-Wider papers.

I sometimes run into a cigar with a bug hole in the wrapper going through and ruining the draw. I simply put a small drop on white glue in the hole, let it sit for a bit and then smoke it. I've never tasted anything from the glue at all. Larry.

Are these coming from your stock or a B & M ? And are you talking about "Elmers" type white glue?

That's what I was thinking... Convenient to have a pack of EZ-Wider rolling papers just laying around.

No, good work though, never give in without a fight or a....... doobie.

Nice work, sounds like you fixed it up nicely. Way to go, bro.

I usually just wrap whole leaves around my cigars when I smoke them, like Carlos Fuente Jr.
