That's the Big Bang Cigar Theory (witnessed in many 3 Stooges episodes)

Does anyone know why the smoke that comes from the foot of the cigar has a blue hue to it, and the smoke that comes from the head of the cigar, as well as the smoke that you blow out of your mouth and nose has a greyish brown hue to it?

People have given me answers that they pulled from thin air, but nobody has ever given me an answer that they can back up with evidence.

ANOYNE?????

The size of a suspended particle determines which wavelengths are scattered (why the sky looks blue etc...). When smoke is inhaled and exhaled, water condensing on the smoke particles makes them larger so instead of scattering blue light they scatter longer wavelengths (yellow) which makes the smoke look "yellower" (or browner).

I hope this is a satisfactory answer!

The smoke from your mouth is loaded with water particles.
When light reflects off the smoke particles, you see a blue hue from the smoke from your mouth because of the abundance of water particles.

this is why the sky looks blue....large amounts of water particles.

wait...its the other way around...
I'm betting you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
