Yesterday I came across a little book of etiquette, quotes and advice that was written by CA's Shanken. Guess what? He says not to let cigars touch and use a divider. So it seems alot of folks have taken Mr. Shanken's advice as gospel. Not unlike thier cigar ratings.

This thread made me feel like an idiot... a friend once told me to always remove the cello, so every cigar in my humidor is currently naked. Including the really, really nice ones my wife gets me on special occasions that I save for equally special occasions... they're in there marrying with my $20-a-bundle Joe Cigar specials. Lovely.

I am a diehard ..NO TOUCHING...smoker.
Seems that there's more dissension on TOUCHING than I would have thought.

I'd like to see what some more of you think about touching.
NCRadioMan was nice enough to answer me in this thread of a lovely Humi...
Go here to see the pics...lovely...and be horrified like me with TOUCHING

Re: Keeping different cigars from touching

I always take off the cellophane and if the cigars have a cedar wrap I take it off also. I like my cigars naked!! I never let different cigars touch each other. I cut strips of cedar from the dividers you get in boxes and place them between the cigars. I'll show you a small example of my OCD.... here are some old pictures of my tuperdor:

Here was the top row. Notice the cedar strips dividing the different cigars and the cedar divider separating the rows.

This was the next row.

And this was the bottom row.

Remember that was only my tuperdor, imagine what my 2 humidors look like!!

No cellophane, no cedar wrappings and no different cigars touching....how do you say anal!!

Dude, love the idea, but you have way too much time on your hands.
