Cigar Reviews

I always see some decent cigar brands reviewed here, well I was thinking of doing a different review. More of a review on lesser... shall we say favored cigars? I thought I would start on on some of the Thompson house brands I have, then move on to a cigar that I actually enjoy but no one else here would probably care for (As soon as I get the box from c-bid and have a new one to refresh my tastebuds on it, then I'll review it, no you guys don't have to know what it is yet lol)

My overall question is, would there be an objection to it?

Re: Cigar Reviews

I have no objection to this at all, since not everyone of us can afford the pricey sticks. I buy alot of the "bargains" on Cbid, for instance a brand called Duque. Not the prettiest cigar, but a damn fine smoke.

I'd say fire away!

just my

Go for it big guy. Should not be aby snobs here. Lots of us smoke the lesser sticks from time to time, so you will probably be preaching to the masses!!

Re: Cigar Reviews

Your reviews are more than welcome. We are a diverse bunch with diverse tastes. What may be a so so smoke to one may be on the list of favorites of another and vice versa. Looking forward to coming reviews.

Re: Cigar Reviews

There is nothing wrong with posting an honest review of any cigar. I have often wished that the review section could have more categories such as:

1) Habanos
2) Hand made Premiums
3) Bundle cigars
4) Machine Made (Mass Market)
5) Small Cigars and Cigarillos

This would allow the reviewier to place his or her review in the category most suited for the cigar tested, and would also allow those who do not ever smoke in that category to skip over reviews that are not applicable to them. This is one of the reasons that I have not posted any full scale reviews on mass market cigars. The ones that I have tried so far are not really in the same class as most cigars reviewed here, so I do not wish to clutter the list. Bundles, on the other hand, are a different matter. A bundled cigar can be quite good and are often premium cigars without the wasteful packaging and hype.

I say, go for it!

Re: Cigar Reviews

Heck no.

I review everything that I smoke on T25 so that includes ones that I would not rush out and buy again as well as great cigars.

The more reviews the merrier, doesn't matter what stick you review.

"Crappy" is in the eye of the beholder.

I've noticed that quite a few of the posters here are students on a limited budget, not to mention those who may be between jobs or who aren't pulling in a lot of disposable income every month. So if there are "lesser" cigars (with price tags to match) that are decent and you'd like to let everyone know about them, I'd say you were doing the very service this site was intended for.

I don't mind seeing any review as long as it's an honest one.
