Camacho coyolar question
So I love the camacho coyolar, absolutely love it. It is a staple in my humidor.
The taste= impeccable (although I seem to taste a flavor that nobody else seems to mention in their reviews as the most dominant flavor, but I have a fairly new and unrefined pallet (only have been with my passion for 3 years). The flavor is hard to describe, but i find it kind of like the flavor of an undense cedary taste that i don't get from any other cigar. the draw= i have never had a bad draw in any of the coyolars i have ever had. It has that loose draw that i adore. the look= it looks like high class smoke amount of smoke= not much beats it in terms of volume burn= again, many reviewers say they have a problem with burns, i havent had that problem ash= again, many reviewers say the ask is flaky.. my experience is the opposite. HOWEVER, here is where my question lies.. I don't think I have had a single one out of the multiple boxes I have smoked that did not tunnel. i try to slow down as much as possible, but it just always happens. i always seem to smoke the torpedo, and i always seem to smoke it in under an hour. a robusto in other smokes seem to take me 1.5 hours. am i doing something wrong? my humi always is kept between 62-67 (just ordered some beads from cigarmony that will keep that more solidified at 65) anyone else share this problem? |

Re: Camacho coyolar question
I've never had a Coyolar, but FWIW, I've always seem to have tunnelling issues with Camacho sticks, including the Corojo I had this afternoon. That said, Camacho is not a marca that I smoke paricularly often, but I've had my fair share, and the majority have tunnelled. Take that however you like.

Re: Camacho coyolar question
I've been through most of a box over the past year & 1/2, & I've never had a tunneling problem with these. I think you must be huffing them. Try slowing down your inhales. Keep it to a puff a minute or so.
That or you're keeping them at too high humidity.

Re: Camacho coyolar question
I have not found this to be a problem with the Camacho's I smoke. I have gone through most of a box of 11/18 Corojos and not encountered a bad smoke. I have a box of Coyolar Roths resting and the Triple mads are always great. Humidity may be the problem, try dry boxing one for a couple days and see if you have the problem.

Re: Camacho coyolar question
I haven't had any problems with the several I've had.
Though I'm still new at this, I too love these. Unless I find anything else in a worthwhile price/taste ratio, I may have found my stick of choice. Way too early to tell, though... |
