I have had no problems storing my cigars in the freezer. I place them in a ziploc and everything works out fine. I have to let them settle after I remove them from the freezer as they will start forming condensation on the outside from all the moisture in the air.

I normally take them directly to the freezer and skip the frig on the front end. I do usually move them to the frig for 24 hours after the freezer. Never had a problem.

How many of you guys freeze irregardless of possible beetles or not? If freezing a habit one should get into with all their sticks?

I only freeze in the summer (packages sent through the mail) but I keep a close watch on what I buy in the winter. I havn't had one but once you have a beetle outbreak, you will always err on the side of caution and freeze everything. Better safe than sorry, as they say. On the other hand, some never worry about it and never have a problem. |
