Regarding cigars flying off the shelves.. My favorite Cigar store that I've been to so far (and use to frequent when I lived in Wichita) is the Cigar Chateau (sp?) and whenever they would get in rare smokes like the OpusX they would limit only one or two per customer, which I at first thought was sort of silly but now understand it as a very good thing.

Definately a benefit. At my shop, if i had the money, I could walk in and buy inventory. I dont know if that makes me lucky or not though. The one that does is that I'm not in that big of market for cigar smokers I guess.

Bump for the newbies. FYI, can buy you your Opus X at retail and I have done this on several occasions. Figured there was enough new faces to bring back up in case there is some new interest in this deal.

My local B&M has Opus X at MSRP all day long. I think he has a lot of them, too... I rarely buy cigars from him, so some of this is an assumption, but in general he has the most complete selection of cigars I know of.

I'm fortunate enough to live close to two shops that sell Opus at retail prices. The shop here in town had a 10-stick limit last Christmas, but didn't have any caps with this month's Opus. My favorite store in Raleigh generally limits customers to two sticks, but I get what I ask for. Not to be too greedy, I grab about six per visit. I scored two more Anejo Sharks last weekend...awesome.

One can never have enough Opus though. I'm constantly on the hunt. There are other retailers in or near Raleigh that have Opus, but they are severely marked up. I won't pay more than a dollar or two over retail.

Over the years, I've built up contacts with some local shops and quite a few shops all over the country that will sell Opus X at MSRP with no limits. That's really the best way to do it, you have to establish your own personal "network" which really isn't that hard to do. It takes a little time. All you have to do is have patience.

Emersons in Greenbriar Va sells em for msrp. Those the padron annv, and Astons as well. It's probally a lot like those shops others have talked about here as well. About 11-15$ a piece
