Fuente Fuente Opus X at MSRP?

You guys are lucky to have a B&M where you can buy them anywhere near MSRP...most of the shops near where I live are not Fuente licensed dealers, and the only one that is a Fuente authorized dealer marks up Opus X +50% when he'll let you have a few and not save them for his buddies, and I know that he had a couple of boxes of Anejos that he let go only to the inner circle in his shop even though I buy there about once a month...and I know from someone that had inside info that he had Anejos, but he kept telling me he never got any in...heaven knows what he marks up for the Anejo's as he didn't let me get any of them...and the one real decent dealer in the area can't get a Fuente account...

My B&M in Raleigh recently received four or five boxes of various sizes. They have been selling singles from one box at a time (limits apply). I've been lucky enough to grab a handful during each of my last few visits. Opus, Anejo, VSG, Padron, et al are alway at MSRP.

I suppose I'm one of the "insiders" at this shop. The owner stashes a few things in the lockers that he rented out at one time. He usually pulls something out of the lockers for me on when I visit. I just picked up a whole box of Ashton VSG Enchantments. I've never seen these before. They're one of the rarer VSGs I think.

Wow anejo at this time of year? I wouldnt mind grabbing a couple of those, James (croatan) sent me one in the NST but I am saving for a good occasion.

i have not come across any local shop to carry opus x's in new york. most of them are either sold out or reserved for their most valued customers and buddies. those cigars sure are hard to come by and i dont mind trying some to see what the big deal is about...would someone be able to give me some info on any shops in new york where i can get these sticks for MSRP? i am a newbie here so any sage advice regarding spending a $100 on a coupla stick will be appreciated. ...oh and mr.cam..srry to hear about the unfortunate event...i was gonna cash in on some sticks...but i guess its too late now.

Holts has them year round. They advertise having every size. MSRP starting at 8.50 i think. No limit on how many you can buy.

I would love for my bm to carry them just once. I have never even seen one in person let alone own one. I think I wouldnt have a problem paying 15 or so bucks to get one everyonce in a blue moon.

Last time I was at Holts (admittedly 2-3 yrs ago) they had a 2 stick per size limit. Did they change this then? Or since I wasn't a regular they imposed these limits maybe.

Talk about being way off MSRP I was at a local B and M today that I had never visited and there were about 20 boxes, all counterfeit and all priced at about 3 times the norm. 50 bucks for a DR. Not to mention the boxes of fake PA's as well. Needless to say on monday I will be making some phone calls.
