CAO Criollo

Picked up one of these and an Italia yesterday in my effort to sample each of the CAO's that are offered. Question is I'm seeing two different band versions on these cigars, two different versions of the Criollo or the bands signify a size difference?

Re: CAO Criollo

I don't get it. The Criollo and the Italia have different bands? They should, they are different ciagrs. I know some of the Criollo are wrapped in tissue paper with a red band in the middle and then have the regular band by the head, but not all the Criollo have the paper.

Whatever it is, they are two of my favorites that I have had so far, I am sure you will enjoy both

Re: CAO Criollo

Typed that wrong, meant the CAO Criollo, i've been seing two different bands, the one I have on this cigar and the one I see in pictures online... let me find them hold on

If you look at this you'll see the yellow colored band with Criollo written on it.

This one has a different band...

two different cigars or the same in different packaging?

Not sure where that second picture came from but I've never seen that band before - either in an ad or on the CAO Criollo cigar.

Re: CAO Criollo

My first Criollo was in that band in the bottom pic. Havn't seen one since. They probably just redesigned the band(top) and the one picured on bottom is the old one?

Which ever band, I love 'em.

Re: CAO Criollo

Wrote to CAO asking the question and got this repsonse back, man talk about fast

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jay - we introduced the CAO Criollo in 2002 and the original bands were a rust/brick color with 'Criollo' in gold lettering.

Soon thereafter, we changed the band design to it's current version in order to better fit the overall 'theme' of the packaging and brand.

The blend remains the same to the original release 3+ years ago. I hope this clears up any confusion.

Best,

Re: CAO Criollo

CAO Criollo is by far my favorite CAO smoke yet!! I love the size that is one step down from the largest (forget the name) I always buy at least one or two with every major purchase at my B&M!!!
