Been using RO water in my beads for about three years and about 6 months in a humidifier with no problems.
There is a posibility of getting bacteria in the RO water so it is not 100% safe. Best bet is to use distilled water. |

No problem on RO water. I fill up a jug with my 18Mohm water at work.
If you want to take the word of a simple PhD chemist that is...

It was set up for my salt water fish tank business and to use for my personal aquarium. From the onset, used it for the humi. I have never had any mold problems. I live in Florida. My humi temp is an average of 77, sometimes as high as 78 to 79. Seems since I put in the new AC system a few weeks ago, now runs 76. Never any beetles or mold. |
