throwing in my first of the day...

i guess i'm a "seasoned" smoker and don't really mind the smell, or lingering aftertaste. or, like many a brother before me has stated - you just get used to it.

but, regarding the CAO MX2... well, not to offend anyone but the one i had, and this was this past summer, made my mouth taste like ass as well... seriously, the next morning i couldn't brush my teeth, tongue, gums, roof of my mouth enough.

this kind've goes along with my non-preference for maduros, i suppose. while i DO love a full-bodied, spicy cigar, there's a certain component to maduros that i do not enjoy - a pseudo-sweetness factor in there...

to the original poster - i'm curious, does this happen with all cigars (natural and maduro) that you smoke?

I tend to agree. High quality tobacco leaves far less of a foul taste in my mouth than the dog rockets. Also, the fact that the last third of a cigar acts as a filter seems to be lost on a lot of the younger generation. Very few cigars are of sufficient quality to be "nubbed" without getting a bitter aftertaste. Knowing when to pitch a cigar can help with foul taste in the mouth the next day.

And another thing, do 18 year old virgins count or does it have to be a 21 year old virgin?

I think your quote left out a "t". Perhaps I should have said "she" instead. But in either case, you are correct. I exceed that age by at least twice.

I think your aftertaste issue is probably more towards Maduro wrapped cigars. (as you said) I love Maduro cigars and actually find the MX2 not to be on the strong or harsh side of most Maduros.

I also think depending on what one ate or drank that day can have a lot to do with bad aftertaste when added to any cigar.

Not bashing you for your MX2 opinion!!!

Yeah, but an oompa loompa? I dunno, Nats has pretty high standards...

As for the maduro qustion, here's an interesting tidbit to chew on. I was talking to gabe before the chatroom went down, and he was lucky enough to have a talk with cuban master roller Rudolfo Taboada. Of course gabe also speaks spanish, which is a plus since all I know how to say in spanish is where is the bathroom. Anyways, Taboada states that wrapper accounts for less than 1% of a cigars taste. Interesting stuff. I would argue it, but I haven't spent my entire life around tobacco and cigars like him.

It might have just been my naivety as a youth, but I was always under the impression Oompa Loompas had no genetailia. Then again, I've never seen one in the nude, nor have I studied Oompa anatomy.
