Any Way to Repair Broken Wrappers?
I have a Macanudo Jamacia 1993 that has a few beetle "cuts" in the wrapper. Is there any way to repair these, or should I just try to smoke it as best I can the way it is? The "cuts" are under 1/4" long and perhaps 1/64" wide. Thanks!

Re: Any Way to Repair Broken Wrappers?
Are you trying to keep the beetles from escaping?

Re: Any Way to Repair Broken Wrappers?
No it's not falling apart by any means, but I thought perhaps the draw would be effected by the holes the beetles made?

Re: Any Way to Repair Broken Wrappers?
Do an advanced search in the category of cigar questions and the poster zemekone. The subject of your search should be cigar repair. Gerry made a post with pictures that should answer all of your questions. Hope that this helps.

Re: Any Way to Repair Broken Wrappers?
if it's isn't deep...meaning didn't cut through the tobacco in the middle itself...wouldn't affect draw...seems to me it's just superficial and should cause anything...

Re: Any Way to Repair Broken Wrappers?
I stand corrected but in my defense it was after midnight in Massachusetts and I have been up since 2am. Thanks for the correction.

Re: Any Way to Repair Broken Wrappers?
Try using one of those roll your own cigarette papers. I have had some sticks unwrap in the past and I would just wet the wrapper at the edges and just flatten it out and let it dry. Then smoke away. If you are a cigar purist just throw them away and find another cigar to smoke.

Re: Any Way to Repair Broken Wrappers?
Best product I have found is El Torcedor Repair Kit For Cigars. Small bottle of glue that is claimed to be the same glue that the rollers use to place the caps on cigars. I have been using it for a couple of years with good results.
Here is one link were it is available. I have never had to order it, because my local B/M keeps it in stock, for around $4.00/bottle. and it will last a long time. http://www.pipesandcigars.com/smokacgifpac.html Good luck on salvaging those smokes! Mark
