Hi Everyone. I got a few questions
Okay well as it ended up I tried my first cigar about 3 weeks ago. I really enjoyed it and I've been looking around the net for some more information. I stumbled upon this place yesterday and it looks like you guys know what your talking about! Good stuff.
I signed up today and this is my first post. I want to try some more cigars so I know what I like. How should I go about doing this. I've talked to some people who used to be members here and they said you guys helped him out alot. The cigar I tried was a Coheba? So what I need from u guys, what i should do. Like would you guys send me a good cigar to try perhaps so I can see what I like? Sorry for all the silly questions but im sure all of u can help. What do the following terms mean? isom pass (cigar pass?) bodied cigars Thanks a bunch Adrianna |

RE: Hi Everyone. I got a few questions
[updated:LAST EDITED ON Nov-26-02 AT 08:14 PM (CDT)]Adrianna: Welcome. You will get a lot of good info here from many good people.
Best way to find what you like is to go to your local tobacconist in Regina and talk to him/her. Tell them your limited experience and ask for recommendations. The only way to find out is to experiment and keep doing so. >What do the following terms mean? >isom = Island South of Miami (Cuban) >pass (cigar pass?) go here for explanations: www.cigarpass.com >bodied cigars = refers to the body (degree of complexity and flavor of a cigar) > Like would you guys send me a good cigar to try perhaps so I can see what I like?..... LMAO (Laughing My Ass Off) Hey! You're in Canada. You have legal access to what those of us in the States do not; Cuban cigars. Head for your local tobacconist, get out your money, buy some and start experimenting. Asking for people you don't know to send you freebies on your first post? That's a bit cheeky, eh? |

RE: Hi Everyone. I got a few questions
Adrianna,
Welcome to ClubStogie. You'll love it here! Best thing to do is what has been said above. Go to your local tobacconist, get out some cash & go to town. Try as many cigars as your budget allows, that way you will learn firsthand what the term "bodied" means. You will learn all kinds of info about cigars the same way everyone else pretty much had to. Use this place as a plethora of information for answers to your questions. Now, Flipflop is right. You won't score any points by trying to take MattR's spot as head moocher in the jungle. It just won't work. Seriously, asking for cigars from people you don't know isn't a great way to start a relationship with others here. -Justin |

RE: Hi Everyone. I got a few questions
Adrianna,
First of all, welcome to the Club. We NEED more women smokers! ;-) Second, since you live in a land of plentiful, I would suggest a few of my favorites. If you liked the Cohiba, you might like a Partagas Serie D#4 or maybe a Bolivar Corona Jr. I might also suggest you go back and read some of the reviews by our fellow LLG's for some ideas about what you might like to smoke. These guys are pretty good at reviewing their smokes both domestic and Cuban. Maybe by reading them, you might have a better idea of what to expect, although there is nothing better than experimenting and trying a various mix of cigars. Each person has their own tastes. I personally prefer full bodied, complex smokes but I also enjoy the milder one's as well. It just depends on time of day and the mood I'm in. Good luck and enjoy your journey! |

RE: Hi Everyone. I got a few questions
Adreianna, welcome to the jungle. Get all the cigars you can afford and then go in debt buying more, it's the LLG way.
