You should be able to find recent reviews in the NC review page. I think I did one a couple of weeks ago.

Re: Cusano 18?
I'm totally perplexed by this brand. I've smoked robustos from several of their lines and they are bland and one dimensional. That said, I have not tried the 18 but other botl's have confirmed that it's pretty much the same.
I have no idea how these sticks keep getting 89's and 90's. As for the P1 Maduro, the Sancho Panza Double Maduro Quixote handily kicks its butt and at about the same price, and it's long filler where the P1 is mixed. Blech. |

good mild smoke.
if you're not expecting 'spectacular', you'll probably think it's ok. |

Re: Cusano 18?
You're talking about the Cusano 18 Paired Maduros, right? I had one the other day and liked it pretty well. It's definitely worth a try. I found it to be medium bodied, but a little bland (it could have been the cold weather and light breeze affecting my senses.) I mainly noted just a woodsy taste for the first two-thirds. The last third picked up with some spiciness. It stayed mellow throughout and burned and drew great.

Re: Cusano 18?
I found the paired maduro to be a very good smoke. The burn was perfect, and it seems to last a long, long time. Definitely got spicy and peppery for me toward the end.
The first ones I had were the churchill, and then some toros. I have had a few of the robustos also. I prefer the toros, myself. As far as the regular "18" line, with the Connecticut shade wrapper, I've always liked them for a mild smoke, especially in the morning with coffee. They have a smooth creamy taste that I like; plus, the price is hard to beat. The paired maduro tasted rather complex to me. I attribute this to the use of several aged fillers and binders..... And for those so inclined, here's a good review I found that some idiot ash ho did when they first became available:http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthr...+paired+maduro

On the other hand, the low rating of Camacho SLR maduro is a mystery to me as well. Different strokes for different folks?

Re: Cusano 18?
I generally enjoy more full bodied cigars but I really enjoy the C 18. Nice & creamy with a lot of smoke.
The first paired maduro I smoked was just so-so. I have a couple resting in the humi hoping for improvement. |

Re: Cusano 18?
I'm a big fan of the Cusano 18...
I actually prefer the natural wrap, though...
